If a job application ask for your "Reason for Leaving", if you were fired from the job, do not put "terminated/fired". Just simply put "The job ended", or "This position ended" or "My services were no longer needed" (or something similar to this that sounds more positive). If you get an interview and the interviewer decides to ask you why the job ended (Note: He/she shouldn't ask but they might ask just in case), this moment is when you can explain your reasoning in depth (but you still need to keep the response positive). The initial goal is to get you an interview.
